Urban Island and Three Mills look set to benefit from a new waterlink service proposal to transport people between Limehouse Quay and the new Olympic site for the 2012 games. Their intention is to include restaurant barges, community boats and sailing charters as well as waterside businesses located in the Limehouse Basin.
Limehouse Quay is the start of a waterway route through to Old Ford Locks on the River Lee navigation which will incorporate access to The Greenway, Western Entrance to the Olympic Park and our very own Three Mills Island.
British waterways are seeking a Commercial Operator to mange a new water-based leisure destination in our area.
